Introducing: DJ D*Star

Hey, this is dj.dstar from Buffalo New York. First off, thanks Clyde for featuring me on the site. I make electronic music, remix records, DJ all sorts of club music in clubs all over, am the touring DJ for Chae Hawk (www.myspace.com/chaehawk), and am one half of a production team called "Hoods Up!" (www.myspace.com/hoodsupmusic). I'm sharing a few tracks out of my DJ crates for you guys that I made/edited. Enjoy! American Boy: This is heavily influenced by the bassline sound that emerged recently this year. I like to combine genres in my production work that reflect who I am as a DJ. So you'll notice a good electro feel, bassline sound, and baltimore club rhythms and breaks laced throughout.

A Milli: Everyone knows this! It's huge. This is a simple edit that I play out to add a little of my own flavor to the song, making it "my own" a little.

Get Money Honey: This is a baltimore club style remix I did awhile ago, well before Calabria really took off in the states (I know, that's crazy to think about). It samples a lot of cool shit...kraftwerk...Trina...the horns...etc.
